    SPARK Arts has created an with awesome resource for aiding creativity at home with your family! It is full of educational online resources they recommend from lots of different arts organizations.

  • 1:00pm Online Bug Encounters: Scorpions with the Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium 😷

    We're shining the spotlight, or rather blacklight, on another group of arachnids—the scorpions! These nocturnal predators are instantly recognizable, but lead lives typically away from human eyes. From elaborate courtship dances, to maternal care, to varying strategies to subdue prey ...it's time to take a closer look!

Thursday, September 16:

  • 10:00am Montana Book Festival Kickoff 😷

    The Montana Book Festival strives to foster interest in literature for people of all ages, to perpetuate a sense of literary community, and to provide a vibrant, compelling forum for the literary arts that celebrates diversity in Montana, around the West, and beyond! This year, the Montana Book Festival will be taking place virtually, with kick-off events taking place September 16-18, 2021, and running through September and October.

Friday, September 17:

  • Missoula Public Library Events

    10:00am Makerspace open hours - Open Hours allows library users to explore the equipment and resources of the Makerspace

    10:30am Family Story Time & Tiny Tales 😷- Story Time is for children ages 3 and older and their caregivers. Join us on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 AM for stories and fun in the Art Box on level two. Story Time will be recorded and posted online at a later date on the library’s official website and YouTube channel. The theme for this week’s Story Time is Talk Like a Pirate.

Saturday, September 18:

  • 9:00am-2:00pm Arts Exploration Celebration downtown Missoula

    FREE outdoor event with arts demos around downtown Missoula on Saturday, September 18, 9am-12pm. This event is designed to be socially-distanced, and masks are strongly encouraged. Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate in what has become the country’s largest annual collective celebration of the arts in education.   • 10:00am Kids Class: A Tie-Dye Sky

    Come paint this fun sky! Class is open to ages 8 and up! Instruction is guided and supplies are provided.

  • 10:00am-2:00pm Orienteering at Lubrecht Forest

    Come try orienteering - the sport of navigating through terrain with a map and a compass - at Lubrecht Experimental Forest outside of Greenough on Sunday, September 19th between 10am-2pm. Beginner instruction will be provided, as will all necessary equipment. The event is free of charge for first-timers and affordable to returning participants. It is open to all ages and experience levels.

  • 1:00pm - 3:00pm ReStyle’s $10 Bag Sale Event at Playfair Park

    ReStyle has collected thousands of items from our awesome customers that are mainly name brand and in good condition. We lay out all the items into their clothing category (ex. pants, shoes, coats etc.) The items are mixed by size because there are literally THOUSANDS!! The majority of the items are teen girl & women's, with some men's & tons of accessories & shoes!
    This event is a $10 stuff a bag sale! This means that for $10 (cash only), we will provide you with a standard 13 gallon bag to stuff with as many clothing items as you can fit. No limit. It’s as easy as that! And all of the money raised is donated to charity.
