MANY BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO PROVIDE SAFE ACTIVITIES AN EVENTS TO OUR COMMUNITY. BECAUSE REMAINING SAFE DURING THE PANDEMIC IS OUR UTMOST PRIORITY, WE’RE PROVIDING YOU WITH A VARIETY OF IN-PERSON AND AT HOME EVENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Monday, November 22:

  • 3:30pm Lego Club at the Missoula Public Library

    Lego Club is back! Build to your heart’s content every Monday afternoon. Drop by anytime from 3:30-5 PM and create fantastic Lego structures! This club meets in the Imaginarium on Level Two. https://www.missoulapubliclibrary.org/

Tuesday, November 23:

  • 9:30am Base Camp Programs with Missoula Parks and Rec

    FALL FUN FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS Tiny Sprouts Drop-In Playtime. Get your toddler moving and making new friends while we sing songs, learn to kick and throw, and play with all kinds of soft and safe equipment. Parent participation is required. No class 11/25.
    Dates Tuesdays and Thursdays October 5 - December 16
    Time 9:30 - 10 am Ages Walking toddlers to age 3
    Fee $5 per child per session, drop-in or pre-register at www.missoulaparks.org

  • 10:30am Preschool Playgroup at Roots Acro Sports
    Preschool Playtime is a favorite for kids and parents alike. For playtime, our gym becomes your playground. We set up fun stations and activities throughout the gym. Parents and children choose the activities that interest them most, including obstacle courses, pit games, trampoline time, swinging, sliding, and climbing. Every time you come it's a new fitness adventure.
    $10 per child/ $15 for Siblings

  • 2:00pm Hands On Science: Fire Science

    Join spectrUM for guided science activities at our Discovery Bench from 2 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday. This week's theme is fire science. No registration required.The spectrUM Discovery Area is open for visitors of all ages to explore science through engaging exhibits and activities. spectrUM has moved into the new Missoula Public Library and is free for visitors of all ages, please join us at 455 East Main Street . http://spectrum.umt.edu/

Wednesday, November 24:

  • 😷 All Day: Spark Arts Creativity at Home

    SPARK Arts has created an with awesome resource for aiding creativity at home with your family! It is full of educational online resources they recommend from lots of different arts organizations. These resources and activities are designed for any family to enjoy doing at home with minimal supplies, so no going to the store! Thursday, November 25:

  • Turkey Day 8k & 3k Family Run

    Start your Thanksgiving Day with fresh air and exercise and join us on Thursday, November 25th for our turkey trot! The Turkey Day 8K and 3K Family Fun Run courses travel along Ron's Riverfront Trail and the Milwaukee Trail, with short distances on a few Missoula city streets. Register HERE!

Friday, November 26:

  • 12:00p Festival of Trees (Friday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Dec. 5) Downtown Missoula

    Creating festive holiday experiences for all in the heart of Downtown Missoula. The festival has been a popular community event for over 20 years and offers a variety of activities for all ages including public display of locally designed trees and holiday items. With a focus on community health and inclusivity, the 2021 Festival of Trees will continue the new format of a multi-space, multi-day Tour of Trees with opportunities to win one of 10 designer-decorated tree this holiday season and we will continue with this format for 2021. Many of the trees will be viewable from outside of the businesses, and all of the hosts will have COVID-safe protocols in place. Public viewing of the trees is available during business hours from Friday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Dec. 5, and everyone is encouraged to stay in small groups. Learn more HERE.

Saturday, November 27:

    Small businesses are the backbone of the Missoula-area economy. This holiday season, all Missoulians are encouraged to support our local economy and small businesses by shopping and dining in Downtown Missoula during Small Business Season. Downtown businesses are extending hours of operation, offering special promotions, and providing personal touches and connections along the way.   • 12:00pm Old Fashioned Forest Service Christmas

    The National Museum of Forest Service History will be hosting the 4th Annual “Old Fashioned Forest Service Christmas” on Saturday November 27th from noon to 3pm. The event is free to the public and will be held at the Museum’s campus located at 6305 Highway 10 West- just past the Smokejumpers Center West of the Airport. More info here.

    Kids learn computers, animation and cooperation at this free two hour art activity offered every Saturday at MCAT's studios, located in the new Missoula Public Library. Learn more here.

  • 10:00am Missoula Jewish Kids Club

    Missoula Jewish Kids Club is an exciting immersive learning experience, offering innovative programming for kids ages 3-7, and 8-13. MJK presents Judaism through hands-on activities including, arts and crafts, baking, science experiments and more. MJK takes place twice monthly on Sundays 10-11AM with a bonus free play until 11:30AM. Fall registration is open!
