    Enjoy an indoor, all-weather play place that gets families active and moving together! YMCA Family Fun Time offers bounce houses, tumbling mats, and more. Access included with an active YMCA membership. Day passes available for non-Y members. Family Fun Time is offered Tuesdays from 9:30–11:30 a.m. and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. from September 11 through May 28.     Featuring local growers, bakers, artisans, crafters & more. Taking place Wednesday December 22 & 29. Located in the Concourse event area next to SCHEELS

  • 2:00 Hands on Science: Fire Science at SpectrUM Discovery Area

    Join spectrUM for guided science activities at our Discovery Bench from 2 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday. This week's theme is fire science. No registration required. The spectrUM Discovery Area is open for visitors of all ages to explore science through engaging exhibits and activities. spectrUM has moved into the new Missoula Public Library and is free for visitors of all ages, please join us at 455 East Main Street .

Thursday, December 23:

  • 10:30am Tiny Tales at the Missoula Public Library

    Tiny Tales uses sounds, rhythms, and movement to help your child learn to read! Participants will sing songs, learn finger-plays and nursery rhymes, and hear stories. Tiny Tales will be recorded and posted online at a later date on the library’s official website and YouTube channel. Tiny Tales is presented by various Youth Services staff every Thursday and Friday at 10:30 AM in the Level Two Imaginarium.

  • 3:00pm Hands on Science: BUGS at SpectrUM Discovery Area

    Join us every Thursday from 3 to 5 as the Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium visits spectrUM with their bug ambassadors. These events are free and no registration is required. The spectrUM Discovery Area is open for visitors of all ages to explore science through engaging exhibits and activities. spectrUM has moved into the new Missoula Public Library and is free for visitors of all ages, please join us at 455 East Main Street .

Sunday, December 26:

  • 6:00pm Family Paint and Pour at Painting with a Twist *Registration Required

    Come in and paint pour with your family! You get to chose which colors will be on your paint pour! Instruction is guided and supplies are provided.

Monday, December 27:

  • 3:30pm Lego Club at the Missoula Public Library

    Lego Club is back! Build to your heart’s content every Monday afternoon. Drop by anytime from 3:30-5 PM and create fantastic Lego structures! This club meets in the Imaginarium on Level Two.

Tuesday, December 28:

  • 2:00pm Hands on Science: Chemical Reactions

    Join spectrUM for guided science activities at our Discovery Bench from 2 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday. This week's theme is chemical reactions. No registration required. The spectrUM Discovery Area is open for visitors of all ages to explore science through engaging exhibits and activities. spectrUM has moved into the new Missoula Public Library and is free for visitors of all ages, please join us at 455 East Main Street .

Wednesday, December 29:

  • 1:00pm Online Bug Encounters with the Missoula Butterfly House & Insectarium

    Close out the New Year, Online Bug Encounter style! Join Brenna as she reflects on some of her favorite Bug Encounters from 2021. Just go to our Facebook page to watch!

  • 3:15pm Middle School Writers Group

    For writers and would-be writers in 6th-8th grades. We share our original stories, poems, novels; give and receive feedback; and do fun writing activities. It’s all about creation and imagination! Members will meet on Zoom every Wednesday. Those interested in joining should email Dana at danam@missoula.lib.mt.us. 3:15-5:15 PM

Friday, December 31:

  • 9:30p-12:30a 2022 NYE Party with City Life Community Center

    Youth For Christ and Campus Life present New Year’s Eve at the City Life Community Center! This year’s party theme is “Campus Life Carnival" so feel free to dress in your best Carnival attire! The party will go from 9:30pm till 12:30am and is open to all middle school and high school students, 11-19 year old! We’ll have Fair Games, Neon Dodgeball, Bingo, Yard Games, an inflatable Obstacle Course, a Free Throw tournament, delicious Fair Themed Food, over $1000 in raffle prizes and a HUGE balloon drop at midnight! The cost is $5/student and that’ll cover entry into the event, food, and raffle tickets for one of our amazing raffle prizes! Once a student arrives and registers, they must remain the building; there will be NO RE-ENTRY, no exceptions

  • 12:00pm Family Fun at Westside Lanes

    FAMILY FUN PACKAGE:2 hrs unlimited bowling, shoes, soda, pizza, party favors! Max 6 people per lane. Noon-2pm OR THE EARLY FAMILY THUNDER BOWL:2.5 hours of unlimited bowling, shoe rental, soda, nachos, pizza party favors, music and lights! Up to 6 people per lane. 4pm-6:30pm

  • 9:00am-midnight First Night Missoula by Arts Missoula
