WHILE REMAINING SAFE AMIDST THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IS STILL A PRIORITY, MANY LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE BEGINNING TO HOST EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES AROUND TOWN. WE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE THOSE EVENTS WITH YOU, HERE’S WHAT’S COMING UP:

Monday, August 9:

  • Spark Arts Creativity at Home

    SPARK Arts has created an with awesome resource for aiding creativity at home with your family! It is full of educational online resources they recommend from lots of different arts organizations.

Tuesday, August 10:

  • Paint Your Own Pottery/Clay Hand Building with Zootown Arts Center

    The Pottery Studio is Missoula's community pottery painting and clay hand building center! Creating and painting pottery is great fun for special occasions or just as a pastime. We have ready-made small figurines for kids and kitchen ware for our older painters. This is a great way to spend a rainy afternoon or a Saturday out with the kids. Get the gang together for a few drinks and laughs and rent the space for a private party! Our Paint Your Own Pottery Studio has hosted employee holiday parties, sororities and fraternities, birthday parties, and family reunions.

  • 5:00pm Missoula Farmers' Market Tuesday Evening Market

    A gathering of food and friends since 1972. Local and loving it in downtown Missoula.? Missoula’s longest running farmers’ market is in its 49th year at its traditional location at Market Square at the XXXs at the north End of Higgins. Tuesday evening market runs June-September from 5-7pm.

Wednesday, August 11:

  • 10:00am Free Car Seat Check Ups

    Missoula Emergency Services has certified car seat installation technicians ready to make sure your little ones are safe! Drop-in car seat installation and safety checks will be offered the second Wednesday of every month from 10:00a to 2:00p at the MESI Training Center located at 1220 Burlington Ave, Missoula, MT 59801.All other dates and times are by appointment only.   • 11:00am - 11:00pm First Nations Family Day at the Missoula Fairgrounds (Opening day for the Western Montana Fair)

    Montana’s Tribal Nations present the flags completing the Fairground’s new Historic Plaza. First Nation’s Family Day begins with Native American dance demonstrations, followed by live music. The evening’s Xtreme Bulls performance is dedicated to creating awareness for Montana’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW). 20% of Xtreme Bulls’ ticket sales benefit MMIW. Thursday, August 12:

  • 7:00pm Missoula Paddleheads Baseball vs. Greatfalls Themed Thirsty Thursday: Music Theme Night
    Thursdays are PACKED this year. Enjoy drink specials all night long. Each game will be themed, with an accompanying pre-game trivia! Fans will be encouraged and rewarding for dressing up!

    7:00pm Missoula Stampede PRCA Rodeo presented by Ram Rodeo and Chicks-n-Chaps (grandstands)

Friday, August 13:

  • 11:00am - 11:00pm Bike to the Western Montana Fair Day

    Bike to the Fair Day is Friday, August 13 presented by Missoula in Motion and Free Cycles. Ride to the Fair August 13 and the first 250 bikers receive one (1) $2 meal voucher redeemable at any participating Fair food booth. Missoula in Motion will be offering free bike valet from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Free Cycles will be teaching ways to tune up your bike from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please ride through the South Ave. entrance and receive all these perks on Bike to the Fair Day.

  • 7:00pm Missoula Paddleheads Indigenous Celebration Game
    In partnership with All Nations Health Center and Clearwater Credit Union, experience a weekend to remember. Friday, the PaddleHeads will don custom jerseys designed by local Native artists (uniforms will be auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting All Nations Health Center). Fans will experience performances, artist displays, and food specials as we celebrate the Indigenous Community. On Saturday, August 14 (non-baseball event) – join All Nations Health Center for their morning 5k Fun Run, and close out the night with the return of a 2020 fan favorite event, N8VZ Got Talent, talent show!

Saturday, August 14:

  • 8:00am 4-H & FFA Missoula Livestock Sale at the Western Montana Fair

    The 4-H and FFA livestock sale is where 4-H and FFA youth who are participating in market animal projects sell their project animal. The proceeds of each sale go to the individual 4-H and FFA members. Many of these young people put their sale earnings toward college, in addition to using the money to offset the costs of raising their animals and purchase a new market animal for the next year.

  • 7:00pm N8VS Got Talent show by All Nations Health Center at Ogren Park Allegiance Field

    All Nations Health Center and Missoula PaddleHeads invite you to the 2nd annual N8VZ Got Talent Show. Join us at Ogren Park at Allegience Field, home of the Missoula PaddleHeads, on August 14th. Doors open at 6pm; show at 7pm. Tickets are $5 for 18 . Scholarships are available for registered clients of All Nations. Please call 406.829.9515 ext. 100 for scholarship assistance.   • 8:45 Missoula Outdoor Cinema at Head Start: Matilda

    Missoula Outdoor Cinema is an outdoor film event in the Northside neighborhood brought to you by the North-Missoula CDC! In 2021, movies run every Saturday evening from July 10th - August 14th. Films are shown in the Head Start playground (1001 Worden Ave).

Sunday, August 15:

  • 6:30pm Lords of Dirt & Keith Sayers FMX presented by Western Montana Motorsports & Montgomery Distillery (grandstands) at the Western Montana Fair

    Do you feel the need for speed? Witness the return of flat track motorcycle racing to the Western Montana Fair! Amateur heats begin 1PM and are open to the public for free. Final races begin 6:30PM, gates open 5:30PM. Montana’s own Keith Sayers presents Freestyle Motocross to keep you on the edge of your seat between races.
