WHILE REMAINING SAFE AMIDST THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IS STILL A PRIORITY, MANY LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE BEGINNING TO HOST EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES AROUND TOWN. WE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE THOSE EVENTS WITH YOU, HERE’S WHAT’S COMING UP:

Monday, August 16:

  • Paint Your Own Pottery/Clay Hand Building with Zootown Arts Center

    The Pottery Studio is Missoula's community pottery painting and clay hand building center! Creating and painting pottery is great fun for special occasions or just as a pastime. We have ready-made small figurines for kids and kitchen ware for our older painters. This is a great way to spend a rainy afternoon or a Saturday out with the kids. Get the gang together for a few drinks and laughs and rent the space for a private party! Our Paint Your Own Pottery Studio has hosted employee holiday parties, sororities and fraternities, birthday parties, and family reunions.

  • 12:00pm - 3:00pm Atlanta Falcons Girls Flag Football Clinic

    The Atlanta Falcons are hosting a free Girls Flag Football Clinic intended for 8th - 12th grade girls who are eager to learn flag football skills, fundamentals and the rules of the game. Drills will be led by Atlanta Falcons Legends and representatives from NFL FLAG. Free food and an Atlanta Falcons t-shirt will be provided to those who register.

  • 3:00pm - 5:00pm Cat Video Fest by The Roxy Theatre

    CatVideoFest is a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses. CatVideoFest is a joyous communal experience, only available in theaters, and raises money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters to best serve cats in the area. Meet adorable and adoptable cats from the Humane Society of Western Montana!

Thursday, August 19:

  • 5:30pm - 9:00pm Garden City Harvest 25th Annual Farm Party

    The 25th Annual Garden City Harvest Farm Party is presented by The Good Food Store and First Security Bank. The Farm Party celebrates locally grown food and community connections. This year more than ever, we have plenty to celebrate. It's our 25th anniversary, and after a year of isolation, let's come together in the PEAS Farm fields to eat, drink, and dance under the summer moon. Tickets can be purchased HERE

  • 7:00pm Kids Art Walk by East Missoula United

    Join us for an Art Show! The talented artists (ages 0-17) in our community will share their artwork "My Neighborhood - East Missoula."

  • 7:00pm Stringed Orchestra of the Rockies Free Concert at Bonner Park

    Join the String Orchestra of the Rockies for a free, 1-hour, performance in Bonner Park in Missoula. Our second, annual community performance is our “thank you gift” to you, our cherished Montana community, for your generous and ongoing support. The performance will include selections from the upcoming season. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy listening to some beautiful string music under the Big Sky.   • 10:30am Story Time at the Missoula Public Library

    Story Time is for children ages 3 and older and their caregivers. Join us for stories and fun in the Level Two Programming Room at the new library. Story Time will be recorded and posted online at a later date on the library’s official website and YouTube channel. The Theme for this week’s Story Time is Happy Birthday America! 10:30 AM

  • 2:00 Hands on Science: Plants and Animals at SpectrUM Discovery Area

    Join spectrUM for guided science activities at our Discovery Bench from 2 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday. This week's theme is plants and animals. No registration required.

  • 4:00pm Bacon & Brew Fest at Caras Park

    Get ready Missoula for the most delicious bacony and brewy day of the year. The Bacon and Brew Fest will have music, local food vendors, goodies and of course, the stars of our show...Bacon and Brew!

Saturday, August 21:

  • 10:00am - 4:00pm Missoula Under Construction

    Missoula's one-day, fun-stravaganza Missoula Under Construction returns Saturday, August 21st!! This BIG event is paving its way back to Missoula where KIDS get to drive the BIG RIGS! Drive a forklift, operate a bulldozer & SO much more! Visit all kinds of awesome builders and doers in the “When I Grow Up Tent.” What’s it like to be an electrician? A plumber? A carpenter? Get your hands on activities and get a taste of the trades. Tickets & more are available at www.MissoulaFoodBank.org. Presented by Jackson Contractor Group! All proceeds benefit Missoula Food Bank & Community Center.

  • 10:00am - 3:00pm 16th Annual Pet Fest

    The 16th annual Pet Fest is a fun-filled day with family-oriented events featuring contests, special attractions and pet adoptions. Pet Fest is also a great shopping venue for products and services related to pets and families. Admission: Please drop off your donation of pet food to help us feed homeless animals or kindly make a cash donation at the registration booth.

  • 10:00am - 5:00pm Summer MADE Fair

    The Missoula Summer MADE fair is a modern handcrafted open-air market featuring local and regional artists at Caras Park in downtown Missoula, MT. Our juried summer show features over 165 skilled artisans as well as a handful of non-profits. Enjoy the views of Caras Park and soak up the sun while supporting local artists and a sweat-shop-free economy. This event is family and hipster-friendly. We're pretty sure that whether you are a creative type or a local connoisseur of all that is hip, you will enjoy the selection and atmosphere at the 13th Missoula Summer MADE fair, Sunday, August 22nd, 10 am-5 pm.
