Missoula has no shortage of grocery stores: 3 Albertsons, 2 Missoula Fresh Markets, 2 Walmarts, The Good Food Store, Orange Street Food Farm, Rosauers, Natural Grocers, Pattee Creek Market, Costco, and Smart Foodservice.

And on Monday, February 22nd at 9am, Missoula welcomes the highly anticipated Winco Foods. Here’s some things you should know about Missoula’s newest grocery store before you go:

  • Winco is located where Shopko used to be on South Reserve near Starbucks.

  • Debit cards, cash, or checks are accepted, along with EBT and WIC! Credit cards are not.

  • You bag your own groceries.

  • Many items are stored in bulk containers. Less packaging helps the company keep prices low and leads to less waste.

  • Stores are open 24 hours, seven days a week.

  • Winco is employee owned. The people who work there own the company.

  • There are Winco locations in Helena, Bozeman and Missoula

  • Opening day discounts include: $0.98 for a gallon of whole or 2% milk. $0.98 for any General Mills cereal. $10 off a purchase of $50 or more.
