The Front Steps Project: Part 2

As a photographer, documenting is what I do. That doesn’t stop because of a global pandemic.

That’s why I’m so grateful to everyone who said ‘yes’ to the Front Steps Project. I spent my Thursday running around town, photographing this crazy time from the safety of six feet away as families stood out on their front porches. Some wore their school/work-from-home uniforms: their comfy pajamas. Others thanked me for giving them an excuse to put on real pants and brush their hair. ABC/Fox Montana joined us for part of the journey. At the end of the day, we heard that Gov. Steve Bullock passed a shelter-in-place order. I’m glad I got to spend my last day of freedom doing this.
